Why silver halide beats inkjet for photo prints

Fujifilm silver halide printing uses light exposure on professional photo paper, then chemical processing — the same method used by professional labs worldwide. For standard photo print sizes it delivers richer blacks, more accurate skin tones, long fade resistance, and a true "photograph" feel.

For fine art reproduction and very large formats above 24x36", we print instead on Epson 12-colour inkjet equipment with UltraChrome Pro pigment inks, which gives a wider colour gamut and a choice of fine art papers. Both are a long way from the four-to-six colour eco-solvent machines most budget print services use.
